Habits of successful people

When it comes to business, there are certain habits that most successful people have! To live a full life, you have to step outside of your comfort zone.If you want to reach the next level in your life, you have to do it strategically thinking. When you don't know what's going on in your life, you become reactive & not proactive. You react to whatever is thrown your way.  There are three main habits that I think are extremely useful when building success. They are: 

 Have a plan, Wake up early, and Stay educated.

The first step to any great idea is to plan, plan, plan! What do you want? How are you going to get it? What steps need to be taken? When will you do these things? Do you need assistance from others? These are just a few of the questions that you need to ask yourself when it comes to doing pretty much anything that relates to your business and brand. Next, make a to-do lists for your personal life and business, write down the things that need to be done and list them in order of importance. Take a look at the things at the veeeeery bottom. Are they important at all? If not, they may be things you do not need to focus on that day or maybe any day for that matter! Focus on the things at the top sis! Being productive in your personal life takes planning. If you follow me, you know I plan every detail of my life, & I get shxt DONE. 


One of the next habits to have is to make sure that you are not sleeping in every day. I know that this is easier said than done, especially if you are working from home. You have to get your body used to being on a schedule and getting up early so you have all the time you need to be productive. Doing this will help you to plan your day in advance also. See how these first two habits connect?  If you're anything like me, you have the most brain energy early in the morning, & by 6:00pm, you're done, so it's important to have a good jump start in the morning. This will help you to feel more energized as you are crushing your to-do list throughout the day!

BONUS TIP: Get up, Get Dressed! When we are in our comfy comfy clothes, our body and mind thinks that it is time to relax and how much work can you REALLY get done if you are TOO comfortable all day, every day? To increase your productivity, get up in the morning like you are going to work for real. What we wear really does influence how we feel! People say,” When you look good you feel good,” and I strongly believe that, even when in the comfort of your own living room! 

The last step is to stay educated in whatever industry you are in. You do not have to necessarily go to school for this, you can educate yourself.  Find out if there are courses that can be taken to help you learn that new system that will assist with making things run smoother in your business. . Youtube is a great way to educate yourself. There is so much free information there from people that are pros in your industry, and if you're willing to pay a small monthly fee, please check out Skillshare is an online learning community with thousands of classes for creative and curious people, on topics including illustration, design, photography, video, freelancing, and more.


I guarantee if you make these habits a part of your daily life, you will level up in ways you could have never imagined! Be patient with yourself! It takes 66 days for a habit to become automatic. It won't be easy, but it'll be worth it.
